Reasons to Visit Mont Tremblant
Although ideally suited for someone who loves the outdoors and packing their days with adventurous activities, Mont Tremblant really is a place for everyone!
The village is on a hill, which could make it a bit challenging for someone with mobility issues, however, many places seemed accessible by wheelchair and there is a cabriolet lift which takes you from the bottom of the village to the top.
There are lots of great bars and restaurants, an active night life, and if you run out of things to do in the village–which would take some time–there is always the surrounding area to explore by car.
After your adventures in hiking, climbing, paddling, etc. you can go to The Spa Scandinave for a massage and zen by the bucket load. I could have easily spent the whole day there. The spa is made up of a series of pools and the instructions are simple: “Heat. Cool. Relax.” I had no problem following this mantra as the entire spa is a labyrinth of hot pools, cold plunges, hammocks, sauna, steam, and anti-gravity chairs. My favorite part was the River Diable that has the perfect current to swim against, and wonderful spots for sunbathing.
I also have to mention a restaurant called Laurent Louis in the village; the food was fabulous and the service was perfect. I would highly recommend having dinner here, not just for the food, but also for the ambience. Kudos to the designer who converted this original Tremblant building into the perfect marriage of styles, staying true to the area while incorporating modern and cosy ski cabin chic styling.
I had no problem travelling solo here – it was very safe and friendly. Mont Tremblant is made up almost entirely of travelers so there is not a ‘local scene' but rather a revolving door of new people to meet from all over the world.
