Vijay shared this photo that was taken at Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island off the coast of Georgia in the United States.
New York City's High Line park is built on a historic elevated rail structure on Manhattan's West Side. It was originally a freight line, started in 1934 for the industrial west side of the city. Now it is home to indigenous plants and birds, murals and musicians, vistas and victuals. You can find full information and a free app to help you explore the High Line here.
This colorful autumn scene was shared with us by STS member Kim, who spent four days in the Hood River area in northern Oregon. Says Kim, “there are snow-capped mountains, the Columbia Gorge and its waterfalls, mountains, farms, wineries, small farm stands with jams and baked goods, cute restaurants, and bakeries. It's wonderful!”

Also in Colorado, Sujata recommends Vail as a great destination for solo travelers. “This village is mainly famous for its wide stretched range of ski slopes. I have visited Vail in summer and winter both. I could go back there in every season to enjoy its divine beauty.”
This photo was shared with us by STS member Brad, who recently visited American Samoa after having lived there as a child. “This is Pola Island, part of the beautiful South Pacific US Territory of American Samoa. We lived there over 50 years ago in a remote village called Afono, very near this spot. Although a lot may have changed there in a half-century, the beauty remains.”
